Dan is the passionate founder of 7 Days of FUN, a thriving community built on one simple belief: everyone deserves connection, belonging, and a place where they truly matter.
With over nine years of experience leading hikes and social adventures, Dan's journey began with a free fortnightly hiking group called King of the Hill Adventures. He later became the Co-Founder of Social Walks, helping grow one of Australia's most active walking and hiking communities.
Driven by a mission to combat loneliness and bring people together, Dan created 7 Days of FUN as more than just a walking group. Today, the community offers walks, hikes, camping trips, social events, expeditions, and even international adventures, all designed to foster genuine friendships and meaningful connections.
Known for his infectious energy and welcoming nature, Dan is committed to creating a completely inclusive culture where everyone feels valued, supported, and encouraged to be themselves. His goal is simple: to ensure every person leaves an event feeling better than when they arrived.

Maria is a walker-turned-guide and the friendly force behind 7 Days of Fun. She’s passionate about growth, creating community, and giving back, making sure every walk feels less like an event, and more like a great day out with people you genuinely enjoy.
Being with Maria is like meeting someone you can laugh with immediately. The kind of person who makes the journey feel lighter, the kilometres shorter, and the conversations easy. Awkward silences don’t stand a chance.
Her love for hiking grew from a deep appreciation for the outdoors and travel, and a curiosity for unique experiences and stepping outside her comfort zone. She’s just as happy leading relaxed, moderate walks as she is tackling an a bucket list walk, from a 30km Coast Trek day hike to the 150km Camino, and multi-day mountain hikes through Sumatra.
Maria believes the best adventures aren’t about how fast you go but the journey to get there. She likes to put together unique destinations and experiences. Her walks are welcoming, inclusive, and sprinkled with laughter, because the journey should be just as fun as the destination.
